Now, i want to tell you about my Independence Day celebration
17 Agustus or called Independence Day of Indonesia is a day that marks when Indonesia was declared Independent from the Netherlands for 350 years and 3 years with japan. Indonesia has many heroes, like ir. soekarno, moh hatta ,pattimura ,cut nyak dien, etc.
They are struggled until died for freedom. For memerioes their kindness, so this celebration is very important.
These tradition has continued for 71 until now. It is believed that even Indonesians in other nations don't miss out on this important day of celebration. A unique thing about the celebration of this day in Indonesia is that all ceremonies are conducted simultaneously in all regions, from schools to official government offices, including the ceremony presided over by the president and attended by different groups, officials, army, veterans, and members of the public.
In my house these tradition celebrated with a contest, like sack race, bike decoration, eat crackers, draw contest, quiz contest and many other contest. Indonesian Flags always plugged side of their house. The ceremony of flag always be opening of this celebration event
